This building is one of the declared monuments in Hong Kong.
It is also the oldest surviving post office building in Hong Kong.
It has been used by the Environmental Protection Department since 1993 as an Environmental Resource Centre.
The aim of the centre is to provide public education about environmental protection.
However, visitors can still go inside the building and see the old architecture, including the old style red post office boxes.
The resource centre is open daily from 10:00am to 5:00pm..
It is closed on Tuesdays and Public Holidays.
Admission is free of charge.
To reach this place, exit off Wan Chai MTR Station Exit A3.
Then, cross the Johnston Road and walk along Tai Yuen Street to Queen's Road East for about 10 minutes.
