Hong Kong Maritime Museum - Maritime Stories of Hong Kong

This museum is one of the most interesting museums in Hong Kong.
Its exhibitions are very interactive.
Visitors can touch most of the exhibits.
Also, there are lots of videos that allow visitors to watch.
It is a place that is worth to visit more than once.

In its exhibition areas, there are many interesting artifacts to demonstrate the maritime history of Hong Kong.
Its exhibition areas span three floors.

The first floor is about the early maritime history of Hong Kong.
Its exhibits demonstrate that how Hong Kong developed from a small fishing village to a thriving world city.

The second floor shows us the Victoria Harbour in its full splendor.
Visitors can also check the interactive map of the display and get the real-time information of the harbour.

The third floor shows us some structures of ship.
This place is family friendly and it is an interesting place, especially for children.

The museum is open from 9:30am to 5:30pm, from Mondays to Fridays.
On the weekends, it is open from 10:00am to 7:00pm.
Tickets are about HKD$30 for adults and HKD$15 for seniors, students and children.

The museum is located at the Central Ferry Piers.
To reach this place, take the MTR to Hong Kong MTR Station and leave at Exit E1.
Find the IFC Mall and walk through it to get to the Central Ferry Piers.
Then, walk to Pier No.8.
