Ching Tak Tong Tat Mor Cho Sze Temple - Founder of Buddhism

This temple is one of the temples, which can illustrate the Chinese ethnic diversity, in Hong Kong.
One of the Chinese populations of Hong Kong is made up of the Hoklo people.
The Hoklo people are came from Fujian Province that is located in South China.
In about 1950s, some of the local Hoklo people build this temple for the worship of Buddhism.

This temple is called "Ching Tak Tong Tat Mor Cho Sze Temple".
It is mainly used to dedicate to a deity, called "Bodhidharma".
This deity is regarded as the founder of Buddhism in China.

Apart from this, this temple is also used to dedicate to a deified monkey, known as "Monkey King".
According to folklore, the Monkey King is powerful and arrogant.
It is regarded as a symbol of rebellion against authority.

To get to the temple, you can take the MTR to the Tsing Yi MTR Station and leave at Exit A1.
Then, take bus No.249M at Tsing Yi Station Public Transport Interchange and get off at Ching Mui House Cheung Ching Estate Bus Stop.

Afterwards, walk along Chung Mei Road to get to Sheung Ko Tan Street, you will see a village, called "Lutheran Village".
Enter the village and walk for about 2 minutes, you will see the temple.
