Fat Chong Temple - Tidy Temple

Built in 1948, this temple is one of the famous Buddhist temples in Hong Kong.
It was built along the hillside and the design of it is full of modern, tidy and colorful.

Not like many of the traditional design of temples in Hong Kong, this temple uses red and white colors as a main theme.
Besides, on the both sides of the doors and on the wall, there are many Buddhist sculptures and beautiful paintings.

After entering the temple, visitors will see some Buddhist halls.
These Buddhist halls are dedicated to the statues of various deities, including the Sakyamuni Buddha, the Goddess of Mercy Kwun Yum and other bodhisattvas.

In this temple, there is also a vegetarian canteen.
This vegetarian canteen provides various vegetarian food for visitors, disciples and the public.

This temple is called "Fat Chong Temple".
It literally means "the infinite ability of spirit".

To get there, you can take the MTR to the Wong Tai Sin MTR Station and leave at Exit A.
Then, walk along Shatin Pass Road to go uphill to the temple for about 20 minutes.

Alternatively, you can take Green Minibus No.18M at Wong Tai Sin MTR Station, Shatin Pass Road and get off at Fat Chong Temple.
