In 2008, it was restored and transformed into an art exchange hub.
During the conversion process, most of the original factory structures, such as the factory lift and the ventilated structure, were all preserved.
The aims of the establishment of this art exchange hub are to nurture young talents and to support arts development in Hong Kong.
This art exchange hub not only provides studio facilities for the local artists, but also provides a relaxed environment for the public.
In this art exchange hub, artworks can be found everywhere.
Visitors are welcome to stroll around here freely, and to experience the arts atmosphere over here.
This central courtyard is mainly for exhibition and festival events, such as themed exhibitions, stage performances and art workshops.
Apart from these, other facilities, such as theatre, restaurants and cafes, can also be found in this art exchange hub.
To reach this art exchange hub, exit off Shek Kip Mei MTR Station Exit C.
Then, walk along Wai Chi Street to get to Wai Chi Street Playground.
This art exchange hub is located near the playground.
