The former of this theatre is a semi-open air theatre, which was built in 1983.
Since the theatre was useless during the inclement weather, then, the Hong Kong Government replaces it with an all-weather theatre.
Nowadays, this theatre has already become one of the most popular theatres in Hong Kong.
It offers plenty of rentable spaces for opera, concerts and other cultural performances, especially for Cantonese opera performances.
Its design is modern and incorporates various elements of 'a theatre in a park, a park in a theatre'.
This theatre is called "Ko Shan Theatre".
It is open daily, from 9:00am to 11:00pm.
To get there, you can take the MTR to the Ho Man Tin MTR Station and leave at Exit A2.
Then, walk along Fat Kwong Street to get to Shun Yung Street.
After that, follow the signposts, and walk along Shun Yung Street to get to Ko Shan Road for about 6 minutes.
You will see an escalator to the Ko Shan Theatre.
