Tsui Shing Lau Pagoda - Ancient Pagoda

This historic building was intended as a feng shui building.
Its design is to ward off evil spirits and to prevent flooding.
According to literature records, this building was built more than six hundred years ago.
It was originally situated at the mouth of a river.

The building is a hexagonal shaped three-storey building.
It is about 13 meters high.
Auspicious titles are inscribed on each floor.
Also, on the top floor, it houses a statue of Fui Shing, also known as "Champion Star".
It is said that Fui Shing can control the success and failure in examinations.

Actually, this building is an ancient pagoda, called "Tsui Shing Lau Pagoda".
In 2001, this pagoda was declared as a monument in Hong Kong.
It is also the only ancient pagoda in Hong Kong.

This ancient pagoda is open to public daily, from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
It is closed on Tuesdays.
