Yuen Yuen Institute - One of the Largest Religious Libraries in Hong Kong

Founded in 1950, this place is one of the famous religious institutes in Hong Kong.
It occupies an area of several tens of hectares and features different temples, ponds, pavilions and halls for various purposes.
Its rich collection of religious book also makes it as one of the largest religious libraries in Hong Kong.

Apart from being an religious institute, this place is also one of the famous monasteries in Hong Kong.
The monastery dedicated to three major Chinese religions, namely, Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism.
Other popular deities, such as Guan Yin and Ji Gong, can also be found in the temple.

In the festival days of these three religions, this place also holds celebrations.
It is especially busy during the Lunar New Year as many worshippers will come to here and pray for good luck, protection or thanksgiving.
Visitors may also enjoy the delicious and healthy vegetarian food served in this place.

To get to this place, you can take the MTR to the Tsuen Wan MTR Station and leave at Exit B1.
Then, walk across the footbridge to get to Chung On Street.
Afterwards, walk along Chung On Street to Shiu Wo Street, and take Green Minibus No.81 at Shiu Wo Street and get off at Yuen Yuen Institute.
