Hong Kong Wetland Park - Park of Natural Ecology

This place is a good place to learn about the natural ecology.
Conservation, education and tourism constitute the main element of this place.

In this place, there are some exhibition areas, a visitor centre and a wetland reserve.
The exhibits of exhibition area showcase the biological diversity and conservation of the wetland.
Through the exhibitions, visitors can learn more about the native flora and fauna of Hong Kong.

The wetland reserve is an outdoor area.
It comprises some recreated wetland environment, specially designed for waterfowl and other wildlife.

Apart from these, there are also some interesting facilities, such as mangrove boardwalk, butterfly garden and bird hides.
These facilities provide a good opportunity for visitors to learn more about the habitats of wildlife.

In 2003, a 1.5 meters long crocodile was spotted in Shan Pui River.
It was captured seven months later and was named as "Pui Pui" by public.
It is now living in this place.

This place is a world-class ecotourism park, called "Hong Kong Wetland Park".
It is also the habitat of various wildlife, including birds, butterflies, dragonflies and fishes.

This park is open to public from 9:00am to 5:00pm, from Mondays to Sundays and Public Holidays.
It is closed on Tuesdays, except Public Holidays.
The entrance fee is about HKD$30 for adults or HKD$15 for seniors, students and children.

To get there, you can take the MTR to the Tin Shui Wai MTR Station and leave at Exit E1.
Then, take MTR Light Rail No.705 at Tin Shui Wai Station and get off at Wetland Park Station.

Afterwards, follow the signposts and walk to Hong Kong Wetland Park for about 5 minutes.
