Golden Beach - The First Artificial Beach in Hong Kong

This beach is the first artificial beach in Hong Kong.
It is about 0.4 miles long and its sand was imported from one of the islands in Mainland China.

This beach is also one of the few beaches in Hong Kong that provides beach volleyball courts.
During weekends, it is usually crowded with visitors, mostly relaxing and sunbathing or playing beach volleyball in the beach volleyball courts.

It is a lovely sandy beach protected by shark prevention nets and overlooked by lifeguards.
A wide range of facilities are also available on the beach, including washrooms, changing rooms and etc.

Along the beachfront, there is a long promenade featuring refreshment kiosks and seating areas shaded by tropical vegetation.
A nearby hotel and shopping mall also make the beach very convenient.

Besides, in order to promote cultural activities, during the weekends or public holidays, there may be a number of themed art exhibitions.

To get there, you can take the MTR to the Siu Hong MTR Station and leave at Exit C1.
Then, take MTR Light Rail No.505 at Siu Hong Station and get off at Sam Shing Station.
Afterwards, follow the signposts and walk along Castle Peak Road Castle Peak Bay to get to Golden Beach Path for about 20 minutes.

After that, walk along Golden Beach Path to get to Golden Beach.
