Bethanie Chapel - Beautiful Neo-Gothic Chapel and Museum

Built in 1875, this building was formerly a sanatorium, which was used by French priests for recuperation.
It was constructed in neo-gothic style and it is one of the few remaining French colonial architectures in Hong Kong.

In 2003, the building was undergone a major renovation and it was transformed into an academic campus of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2006.

The basement of building was transformed into a museum.
The exhibition gallery displays the historical items of the former sanatorium and the French missionary activities in Asia throughout the past 300 years.
Other parts of the building were transformed into classrooms and studios.

The chapel of the building is now used in religious services.
It is also a very popular location for wedding and photography.

Mandarin, Cantonese, English guided tours in three languages are available.

To get there, you can take the MTR to the Hong Kong MTR Station and leave at Exit B1.
Then, take Green Minibus No.22 at Exchange Square Public Light Bus Terminus and get off at Pok Fu Lam Public Riding School.
Afterwards, follow the signposts and walk to the Chinese Cuisine Training Centre Institute.
The building is located next to the institute.
