Tai Wan Beach - Beautiful beach with clear water and soft white sand.

The fine grains of sand, the turquoise sea water and the open seascape constitute a beautiful landscape painting. There are actually quite a few natural beaches with such beautiful scenery in Hong Kong, and the place that HongKongFootprint.com wants to visit this time is one of the most beautiful natural beaches.

The "Tai Wan" beach at Tai Long Wan, Sai Kung, New Territories, and the adjacent "Tung Wan", "Ham Tin Wan" and "Sai Wan" beaches are all natural beaches with natural beauty. Among the four beaches, the "Tai Wan" beach is definitely the largest in terms of area, and has a long coastline. Walking on this endless beach is like walking into a world of sand, and it feels very special.

The "Tai Wan" beach is surrounded by mountains and sea, with open sea view, the sea water is clear and clean, and the sand grains are also fine and white. Also because this beach is relatively broad, the place with big trees will be far away from the seaside. It is recommended that visitors bring some shade supplies by themselves, so that they can rest in the shade and enjoy the beautiful scenery here at close range.

On a clear day, the scenery of this beach is also exceptionally beautiful, with blue sky and blue sea, the sea and the sky are the same color.

However, it should be noted that although the "Tai Wan" beach is beautiful, its location is very remote, and there is no direct public transportation here. This beach is also not open officially as a swimming beach for visitors, so there will be no lifeguard service, nor will there be basic facilities such as restrooms, changing rooms, bathing areas or snack kiosks, etc., so it is recommended to bring all necessary items. Food or beverages should be prepared as needed, and rubbish should also be taken away by yourself.

This beach is far away from the hustle and bustle of the city and retains the original features of nature. Therefore, it attracts many visitors to camp here, enjoy the tranquility here leisurely, appreciate the blue water and feel the warm sunshine. The only flaw is the lack of water sources, which is more inconvenient.

If you also want to stroll around this beach, it is recommended to take the MTR to the Diamond Hill station and leave at the Exit C2. Afterwards, transfer to bus No. 92 at the Diamond Hill Station Public Transport Interchange and get off at Sai Kung Bus Terminus.

After getting off the bus, walk along Fuk Man Road to Chan Man Street, and transfer to the village bus No. 29R at Chan Man Street to get off at Sai Wan Pavilion. By the way, on Sundays or public holidays, there will be more frequency of the village bus No. 29R. Alternatively, consider changing to a taxi at Sai Kung Bus Terminal and get off at Sai Wan Pavilion.

After getting off the bus, follow the signs and walk along Maclehose Trail Section 2 to Sai Wan Beach. The journey takes about 45 minutes. On the way, you will pass by Sai Wan Village first, and then you will see Sai Wan Beach.

After arriving at Sai Wan Beach, walk along the beach first, then take the Maclehose Trail Section 2 and continue walking, so that you can reach Ham Tin Wan Beach. This journey takes about 40 minutes. After arriving at Ham Tin Wan Beach, walk along the Sharp Peak Path for about 15 minutes to arrive at Tai Wan Beach.

For ordinary visitors, walking from Sai Wan Pavilion to Tai Wan Beach may be difficult. Therefore, in the arrangement of the itinerary, it is recommended to reserve more time and prepare all the necessary items before departure to meet the needs of the journey.
